Sirius, also known as the "Dog Star” is the brightest star in the sky to the human eye. It has two companion stars – Sirius B and the hidden Sirius C. They are found in the constellation called Canis Major. At 8.78 light years distance from Earth, Sirius is one of the nearest stars to Earth.
